Course Description

The aim of the course is to extend students' personal independence and ability to communicate in Te Reo Māori.
You will explore aspects of Te Ao Māori, gaining a deeper understanding of and respect for ngā tikanga Māori. You will learn to read, write and speak about yourself, your family, and a range of everyday topics.
Assessment Information
The Internal assessments are portfolio based. This means that your mahi will be collated during Terms 1, 2 and 3 with a selection presented for final grades.There are also opportunities to gain extra Tikanga credits.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
Total Credits Available: 22 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 6 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 16 credits.
