Course Description

Semester 1 Hard Materials

Interested in the trades construction industry? If you want to learn to develop your skills in designing and producing a range of different projects using a range of hard materials, then this is the subject for you. We have a well equipped workshop and set a high standard for students to strive for. You will learn how to use hand tools and power tools and begin to extend on the key skills needed to thrive in the construction industry

Projects: Phone Stand and Folding Stool



Course Overview

Term 1
Students will start the term learning about Health and Safety, then move onto an introduction task of making a phone holder. This is to teach them all the relevant skills for their main project. Your Main project is the folding stool.

Term 2
You will continue through this term working on your folding stool and will wrap up the term with an evaluation of the project.
