Classical Studies is the study of the ancient civilizations of Classical Greece and Rome.  This subject looks at mythologies, battles, artworks and the continuing impact these  ancient societies have on our modern day world.

Term 1
Term 1: Classical Myth and The Odyssey
Dive into the epic world of gods, heroes, and monsters as we explore Homer’s The Odyssey. Uncover the meaning behind famous myths and their impact on the ancient and modern world.

Term 2
Term 2: Greek Pottery and the Legend of Herakles
Learn about the art of Greek pottery, its symbolism, and its storytelling. We’ll also trace the enduring legacy of Herakles (Hercules), connecting ancient myths with modern retellings, including Disney’s famous take.

Term 3
Term 3: Alexander the Great
Experience the life and conquests of Alexander the Great, one of history’s most powerful figures. From his battles to his empire, discover how Alexander shaped the world.
